So you've probably noticed we have several types of barbells at CrossFit Gambit. Maybe you're wondering when you should be using each one?? Well, I'll tell you!
First off, we have the aluminum training bar. It's shorter than a normal bar, and weighs only 15lbs. These are great for beginners, warm-ups or working technique. Load limit = 75lbs
Women's bar. This bar weighs 33lbs and has a smaller shaft for dainty lady hands. Times you should need a womens' bar: cleans, snatches, presses or jerks. Times you DON'T need a womens' bar: back squats, deadlifts, front squats, bench press.
Olympic bar. This is the most common bar in the gym. It weighs 45lbs and has a load limit of around 1000lbs. Lift away!
3 rounds for time:
12 burpee box jumps, 24/20"
15 dips
18 SDHP, 70/53
